Patrick Muiredach is an Irish immigrant who moved to America in the mid 1950s with his parents as a boy. Settling in Woodlawn, NY, he grew up in a tight-knit Irish community.He was taught to hide his accent and identity as an Irish-American for fear of discrimination in the work force. That didn't stop Athena from hiring him as her personal chauffeur. Though he wouldn't always shuttle her, sometimes it would be her guests.

That's when he meets Anthony Gallo. 

Soon after he is faced with making a decision: to risk the place in his community for love, or go through with a lavender marriage.

The choice wasn't his to make once he was gutted by a pissed off newly ex-fiancée, and the community he was so engraved in turned their backs to him- some of his friends even attacking him and leaving him for dead in the streets.

With nowhere else to turn, and facing a long road to recovery, Patrick moves with Anthony to his home in San Fransisco, California, where he struggles with his religion, his romantic identity, and regaining his confidence while facing the loss of all he had ever known...

Neato Facts:

Patrick is a devoted Catholic who is extremely family-oriented. Living above the main pub of Woodlawn, he would also play the accordion Friday nights as a member of a band of his friends, and spent every Friday night late partying with the other members in his community. Saturday was for recovery, and Sunday was for church!
