The Devourer

The Devourer - a cosmic being of unknown shape - or shaping itself however the witness imagines it.

Quietly it lures through ice cold space, seeking worlds to devour.

Planets are like candy to it, stars like a hot dessert and finale to the feast.

Have you stared into the sky, seeing two stars that stared... back at you...?

Two lustering eyes, watching our tiny little marble. 

They say, when there's sticky rain dripping everywhere, the Devourer has chosen its meal. 

Hunger drives it mad, that sentient being, and there have been witnesses of the Devourer being this weak that it had to change shape, landing onto one of the many planets it has watched. 

The being as ice cold as space itself, maddening at the hunger it has, despising everything it sees. 

Some wonder if there would be a way to stop it. 

Some fools even think it has a heart, that someone could bring to beat. 

Drool dripping everywhere, like blood or more, needle thin teeth growing like a forest in a huge world of void. 

Beware of the Devourer and its hateful eyes, staring down at you like two glistening stars.
