About

When he was born, Clémente was mistaken for a girl because of his physical condition, which is why he has a feminine name. He was born with Delacroix Syndrome, which means he has to deal with quite a bit of symptoms on a day-to-day basis. However, he was not born with the scars on the side of his face; that was caused by an unfortunate firework accident when he was just four. Despite his issues however, Clémente does not remember the earlier parts of his childhood, and despite everything, Clemente remains quite a healthy and pain-free bunny today.

Additionally, Clémente has long-lasting scars and bruises on his back and shoulders as well, because when he was 19 - 21, he used to partake in fighting competitions, using his intimidating appearance as a promotional aspect; he's not proud of his past, but he is still very strong and is extremely skilled in defending himself, despite not needing to use his skills today.

However, when he was just 23, something happened that Clémente never thought would happen: France was invaded and taken under the rule of Nazi Germany. He had kept himself updated on the war in newspapers, but the mere idea of France being overtaken was something he took for granted until that moment.

Immediately, it was evident that he had to leave France. As a disabled man, it was a guarantee that Nazi soldiers would target him, alongside everyone else that they deemed "unfit to live". It was a struggle, but he and his family were able to reside in Switzerland, and even though Clémente had a very limited vocabulary when it came to any other language but French, they were able to stay there for a long time.

After the Liberation of Paris in 1944, Clémente still decided to stay in Switzerland, mostly because his family didn't really have any intentions of returning. However, after a year, at 28, he decided to return to France. When he returned, it was quite hard to get a job for himself; it mostly consisted of trying to convince people that he wouldn't be a hassle rather than demonstrating his actual skills. But eventually, he was able to get a job at a clothing factory, and from there, he got his own apartment.

Personality

Present day - France, 1953

Clémente prefers to keep to himself. However, if you talked to him, it would be immediately evident that he is a sweetheart.

While Clémente has great strength and has an appearance that greatly intimidates the people who first see him, he's very kind and would prioritize others over himself, even though he prefers being alone for the majority of his activities.

Clémente loves taking care of his house plants and he loves writing in his journal. However, Clementé's most favorite hobby is sleeping. After he comes home from his job at a nearby clothing factory, he travels home to his small apartment, does his daily chores and journals, and then he sleeps. Clémente sleeps 12-14 hours every work day, and sleeps for nearly the entire day on Sundays.

However, despite his extreme sleeping habits, Clémente is a very tired and slow person when he is awake. Despite this, Clémente is very good at what he does; he works as quality control at his nearby clothing factory, and he works 11 hours every business day, with every Sunday off from work. Additionally, his job makes him very skilled at spotting high quality clothing. This is where he resides today; same places, same routines...

That was, until Benoît.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Birthday - September 8th (born 1917) Species - Rabbit Breed - Flemish Giant & French Lop Weight - 288 pounds INFORMATION ABOUT DELACROIX SYNDROME While earlier observations existed, Delacroix Syndrome was first formally described and diagnosed by Dr. Philippe Anne Delacroix in 1889, who coined the term and established its diagnostic criteria. This condition, while incredibly rare, is characterized by several issues, such as: - adhesions of organs, most commonly adhesions of the intestines (which often leads to digestive issues) - incorrect development of the pupils, leading to partial or complete blindness in the impacted eye(s) - respiratory problems, most commonly chronic bronchitis or asthma - incorrect development of bones, which commonly leads to longer or shorter limbs The cause isn't exactly known, but prenatal chemical or alcohol exposure is suspected to contribute to a higher risk. There is no definite cure for Delacroix Syndrome; however, each symptom can be individually treated. (Delacroix Syndrome is not a real condition and it is a figment of my imagination)
